Looking to enjoy the amazing Black Hills? We want to talk to you! We are nestled at the mouth of Vanocker Canyon at Sturgis, SD offering close national forest access to explore either on road or get off the main path enjoying a peaceful hike or a vigorous mountain-bike ride – as easy or difficult as you want to make it. Not only will you be able to experience the world renowned Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in early August, but also enjoy on-site living just 23 minutes from historic Deadwood, 1 hour to Mt. Rushmore, 1 hour +15 minutes to Devils Tower, 1 hr + 16 mins to Badlands National Park, and 1 hr + 20 minutes to Custer State Park. Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Rd offer a fun sight-seeing day whether you choose to ride your motorcycle or jump in your car/truck. Not to mention two other museums located right here in Sturgis!
Position Details:
∙ Type: Seasonal, W-2 Employee Position, pay DOE (or volunteers greatly appreciated)
∙ Schedule: 25–30 hours per week. The museum is open 7 days a week, the end of April through November – weather permitting.
∙ Ideal Candidates: Happy, cheerful people that enjoy meeting people from around the world to share our unique car collection with.
Key Responsibilities:
∙ Guest Experience: Greeting visitors with a smile, giving engaging tours, and promoting gift shop merchandise.
∙ Tastings: Hosting fun taste-testing sessions for our local meat snacks and wine selection.
∙ Vehicle Care: Light maintenance to keep the collection pristine, including dusting cars, airing tires, and managing battery tenders.
∙ Museum Upkeep: General light housekeeping – vacuuming/trash in both museum and office area.
Requirements:
∙ People Skills: You must genuinely enjoy talking with people and providing great service.
∙ Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and comfortable handling money/POS transactions.
∙ Attitude: A positive, upbeat personality is a must!
Site & Compensation:
∙ (RV) Living On-Site: Enjoy the convenience of staying right where you work.
∙ Hourly wage (DOE)
∙ Utilities: Rig utilities are currently $200/month.
∙ Amenities: Electric is provided at the site; water and a dump station are available for your use.
