RV INFORMATION: Trailer/RV PadsDescription: Volunteers must have a self-contained recreational vehicle in which to live in at the site. The host site has a sewer hook-up but no water (available in campground) and a generator can be provided for electricity.

Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Construction/Maintenance • Trail/Campground Maintenance • Visitor Information Photo Courtesy of FS DescriptionLudlum Campground is located adjacent to Wheeler Creek and the Winchuck River, just minutes from ocean beaches, and Brookings, OR.  There are opportunities to hike; a couple options are the Oregon Redwood or the Japanese Bombsite Trails. The Ludlum House Recreation Rental is also adjacent to the campground. Hosts are on-site representatives of the Forest Service; they welcome campers, answer questions and acquaint visitors with facilities, regulations and fees. Host assists Forest Service staff with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the campground. Good communication skills, working with and the ability to deal with the public in a friendly and courteous manner are essential. Duties include cleaning and stocking restrooms, picking-up trash, raking fire pits, picking up litter, painting/staining, keeping campsites clean, selling firewood, maintaining use records, and assist with reservations for the Ludlum House Recreation Rental located adjacent to the campground. Volunteers must have a self-contained recreational vehicle in which to live in at the site, and must be available to staff the area most weekends and holidays. The host site has a sewer hook-up but no water (available in campground) and a generator will be provided for electricity. There is no Wi-Fi or Cell service at this location. Season is weather dependent but typically is Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. Camp Hosts may arrive earlier and stay later. Couples are encouraged to apply.
