Campground Host

The City of Bainbridge is interested in bringing on a Campground Host for its Bainbridge Riverview Campground. We are looking for a 2-6 month commitment from any prospective hosts. We do require references and you must consent to a criminal background check.

The campground has 12 sites with a mix of pull through and back in style sites. Full hook ups are available for the Campground Host while the rest of the sites have water, electric, and wifi. We have a bathroom facility with showers and a dump station available. Each site has a rapid rail residential trash can on site. The campground is also immediately adjacent Bainbridge Oaks Disc Golf Course.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Guest Services:
– Greet campers and provide information about campground policies, rules, and available amenities.- Assist guests with online reservations, check-ins, and site assignments.
-Address visitor inquiries and provide information about local attractions, activities, and safety precautions.
-Serve as a liaison between campers and park management.
Maintenance and Upkeep:
-Regularly inspect and clean campground facilities, ensuring bathroom facilities are stocked. The City has a crew to clean the restrooms.
-Monitor campsites for cleanliness, occupancy, and rule compliance.
-Report maintenance needs or safety concerns to city staff.
Enforcement of Rules:
-Ensure that campers adhere to campground rules, including quiet hours, fire safety, and pet policies.
-Address conflicts or disturbances calmly and professionally.
Administrative Duties:
-Provide input to improve campground operations and guest experiences.
Emergency Response:
-Assist in emergency situations, including providing first aid, contacting emergency services, and guiding guests to safety.
-Monitor weather conditions and alert campers to potential hazards.

Qualifications:

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
-Basic knowledge of campground operations, outdoor safety, and customer service.
-Physical ability to perform light maintenance tasks and navigate uneven terrain.
-Experience in hospitality, customer service, or outdoor recreation is preferred.
-CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
-References are required
-Must consent to a criminal background check

Work Environment:

-The role is often outdoors, requiring exposure to varying weather conditions.
-May involve evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
-Campground hosts are required to live on-site, with accommodations provided by the campground hosts. Host site has full hookups (water, sewer, electric, wifi)
