Caretaker / Park Host

The Onalaska Alliance is accepting applications for a reliable individual or couple to serve as year-round live-in Caretaker/Park Host for Carlisle Lake Park, located in Onalaska, Washington. We are hoping to have someone start in May 2025.

Carlisle Lake Park is a beautiful, approximately 72-acre recreational and fishing lake with a playground, walking trails and day use area created on the site of a former lumber mill and pond. The park is owned and operated by the non-profit organization Onalaska Alliance and is made available to the public for the benefit of the Onalaska community and beyond.

We are looking for a Caretaker/Park Host to provide the following:

• Light to medium cleaning (including public bathrooms) and maintenance
• Help provide security, including daily opening and closing of security gate
• Oversight of park activities
• Maintain a presence at the park and represent the Onalaska Alliance in interacting with the public

Required skills and abilities:

• Basic cleaning and maintenance skills
• Dependability-Be available on park grounds regularly
• Ability to interact appropriately with the public.

Compensation:

In exchange for performing required duties, the Caretaker/Park Host will be provided with an RV/travel trailer pad with hook ups, located at the lake. Water, electricity, sewer and garbage will be provided at no cost. No additional compensation will be provided.

• Resume or outline of skills and experience relative to the Caretaker/Park Host position
• Make, model, year and photo of RV or travel trailer that would be used if selected as Caretaker.
• A background check and approval of RV/travel trailer and vehicle condition will be required prior to hiring.
• Pets will be considered.
