Job Summary

The Employee Village Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the employee village: dormitory housing, laundry facilities, and recreation facilities, housekeeping and grounds keeping for the employee RV park.  This position has a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to: assigning room to employees upon arrival, verifying paperwork during the onboarding process, ensuring that employee facilities are kept clean and in good shape, and planning fun events and activities for employees. This position helps create the fun and engaging culture we strive to develop among our team.

 

Job Specifications

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Summer Seasonal
  • Outlet: Colter Bay Lodge / Jackson Lake Lodge
  • Housing: Available
  • Starting Wage: $46,000

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Opens and prepares operations of employee housing at the beginning of the season: orders supplies, takes opening inventories and makes maintenance lists for repairs needed.
  • Assigns housing to employees upon arrival; issuing linen supplies, keys, etc.
  • Oversees check-in procedures for employees, including document verification and paperwork assistance.
  • Maintains records: management reports, maintenance requests, requisitions and housing assignments.
  • Plans and schedules a variety of recreation activities designed to interest all employees
  • Maintains Rec Hall, dorm storage, exchange of linen, and supplies.
  • Prepares schedules for cleaning and office hours.
  • Performs checkout of departing employees to ensure return of all items issued and satisfactory condition of quarters.
  • Works with employee residents to mediate disputes and/or housing or maintenance problems.
  • Closes Employee Dorms at end of season, cleaning all facilities and ensuring they are ready for winter.

 

The “must haves” for this position include:

  • Must have excellent people and communication skills.
  • Must be hands on.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Prior experience planning activities that engage all age groups.
  • Must have upbeat positive can do attitude and possess the ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Ability to work varied hours and varied shifts, in varied terrain
  • Must have a passion for the outdoors
  • Valid US driver’s license/Successful completion MVR
  • Capable of handling moderately strenuous activity
  • Must have good organizational skills and possess initiative

 

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required: 

  • CPR/First Aid Certifications
  • Previous Human Resources experience
  • Knowledge about Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park
  • Be genuinely concerned about the environment and recycling
  • Have good communication/people skills

This is a summer position. Our season typically runs from May through early October. Candidates must be available to work until the end of the season.
