DEPT: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

DATES: 8/23/2023 – 11/14/2023

DESCRIPTION:

Rend Lake is seeking individuals or couples to fill one Campground Host position for South Marcum Campground for the 2023 recreation season beginning August 23rd and ending November 7th. Hosts must provide their own RV/Travel Trailer and reside on a designated campsite inside their assigned campground for the duration of the season. Site amenities include water, sewer, and electric. Internet access is available at the Rend Lake Visitor Center less than 5 min. drive away.

To provide optimum coverage and host services to guests, hosts are expected to stay on-site as much as possible. The Volunteer Coordinator will identify days and hours when availability is critical including Friday afternoons, weekends, and holidays. It is expected that hosts will work approximately 32 hours per week. However, it is understandable that hosts may need to leave from time to time to take care of personal business. Hosts will work both independently and with USACE staff, volunteers, and contractors. Work will be primarily outdoors and will involve frequent interactions with adults and children.
