Job Description
The Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds is looking for a camp host (individual or
couple) to oversee the Benton Oaks RV Park. This position is part-time with variable hours.
The camp host must have an RV and live on-site in the campground.
Benton Oaks RV Park
The campground is located in Corvallis, Oregon, on the 29 acre site of the Benton County
Fairgrounds and consists of 28 full hook-up spaces that are reserved year-round and up to 114
partial hook-up spaces that are reserved during large-scale community events such as Oregon
State University graduation weekend and Beaver home games. Tent camping is allowed from
Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Hercules on-line system is utilized for reservations.
- Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Greet campers, collect fees when necessary and offer assistance to arriving RV park guests. - Monitor guest activities to ensure compliance with RV park and fairgrounds policies and contact violators to inform them of infractions and needed corrective action.
- Maintain reservation and payment records on Hercules computer system.
- Monitor use of dump station to assure payment by non-guest users.
- Watch for potential security and safety issues and notify the Fair Office of any potential problems. Maintain a neat, clean and orderly residence and surrounding premises.
- Mow and water campground area in coordination with Fairgrounds Maintenance.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with the ability to work nights and weekends as
needed.
Must have an RV with the ability to live on-site in the RV Park. Strong customer relation skills are preferred.
Rate of Pay:
RV Space + monthly stipend
