Job Description

Jackson Wellsprings mineral hot springs, retreat center, and campground is seeking a seasonal, hands-on, self-motivated Camp Host (couple or individual) to join our frontline team in welcoming camping, RV, and glamping customers to the property. WellSprings hopes to identify a Camp Host who is willing to live in the campground in their own RV or motorhome. WellSprings is calling in a people-person(s) who is (are) inspired by health & healing and excited to meet, greet, and introduce a diverse population of travelers to the sacred land and waters of the WellSprings.

About WellSprings

WellSprings is a water and events center that offers retreats and workshops, as well as short-term accommodations including tent and car camping, 11 overnight RV sites with full hook-ups, two domes, two belle tents, and two tipis. WellSprings is a thirty acre campus with eighty full time residents; its population swells to 140 during the summer months. WellSprings is situated two miles north of Ashland – a quaint, yet sophisticated and artsy community of 24,000 inhabitants and one hundred restaurants, renowned for its charm, surrounding beauty, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

About the Camp Host

The Camp Host fills an invaluable role. Those who enjoy traveling, who enjoy people, who remain calm and level-headed, who exemplify qualities of “bodhisattva” – namely, an attitude of kindness, helpfulness, respectfulness, and service, are well suited for the position. Those who have discovered along their journeys the value of both paying attention and leading by example are best positioned for the job. Applicants must demonstrate the qualities of patience and direct communication. Candidates should feel comfortable working independently and possess high adaptability and quick problem-solving skill sets.

As “greeters” and representatives of the WellSprings, a Camp Host’s value cannot be underestimated. “First impressions” carry a great deal of weight. For many, the Camp Host will be the only human contact that overnight guests receive. A healthy, balanced, “new mind” attitude is crucial and oftentimes defines and ‘makes or breaks’ the patron’s experience.

  • Display clear boundaries in support of WellSprings Campground Rules and Regulations;

  • Demonstrate the ability to use a tablet and reservation software for making and tracking on-line bookings;
