Glacier National Park encompasses more than 16,000 square miles of largely wilderness area and is known for its seemingly endless acres of rugged and breathtaking landscapes. Glacier National Park was established in 1910 and stands today as a monument to wild natural places. As part of the Crown of the Continent ecosystem, the park includes 175 named mountains, 762 lakes (130 named lakes), 200+ named waterfalls and 25 named glaciers, as well as 1,000 plant species, and hundreds of animal species.

 

The Details:

  • Seasonal positions start May 6th and extend through late-September 2022 (dates depend on Location)
  • Hourly Wage: $9.45/hr + tips
  • Schedule Varies: 32 to 45 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items in to the POS system; pick up, garnish, and serve food and beverages promptly to guests; collect and process forms of payment; ensuring guest satisfaction throughout.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room/Lounge and service areas; and maintain organized and fully stocked server stations within the Dining Room/Lounge.
  • Serve and re-fill water to guests; clear and set tables in accordance with all sanitation and service standards; assist servers as requested and transport dirty tableware from the Lounge Room to the dish drop area.
  • Aid in organizing, moving, connecting, and disconnecting draft beer kegs.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures.
  • Attendants must also assist in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary in line with the overall success of the outlet, location, and company.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must have a working knowledge of all menus: Specials, features, food, and beverages, and of general guest information.
  • Ability to work within and consistently build the service team and will be asked to help other team members as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required; workshops will be provided if not currently certified.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the day.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Working safely with required chemicals.
