RESORT HOST JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports to: Resort General Manager| FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Resort Host position will monitor daily upkeep of sites and amenities, and handle reservations as needed. Responsibilities include guest check-in, activity hosting, and frequent guest follow up. Requires strong customer service, communication, and basic administrative skills, plus the ability to perform manual labor. Must enjoy public interaction, work independently, learn quickly, and have a flexible schedule.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet visitors, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
Ensure all customers have completed check-in including Resort rules and signed any applicable waivers when arriving.
Help with guest reservations and questions.
Must be able to use a computer or laptop to take reservations if needed after hours
Manage reservations and sales of grab n go merchandise.
Be available to guests daily, including evenings and mornings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Ensure sites are always clean, safe, and in orderly condition.
Inspect and monitor cleaning of all restrooms and laundry rooms.
Notify Resort Management or MOD of any urgent or emergency issues that would affect public safety or preservation of property.
Making rounds in the Resort, at least 3 times a day, so they are seen if questions arise, or instructions need to be given to guests.
Performing drive-by inspections of all sites each evening to ensure that payments have been made on all occupied sites and to make proper arrangements for guests who arrive without reservations.
Refraining from public use of tobacco and alcohol, including e-cigarettes. Host shall not act in their official capacity while intoxicated or otherwise impaired
Maintaining good public relations and performing all duties in a courteous and professional manner, communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
Initiate or delegate team members, and monitor resort activities and events.
Perform ranger duties at night, enforce quiet hours, and respond to questions.
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to live on-site via their own motorhome, 5th wheel, or RV trailer. Unit must be in good condition and manufactured within 15 years.
· Strong customer service experience.
· Prior RV experience is desirable but not necessary
· Must be able to work outside regardless of weather conditions when needed
· Maintain a tidy host site and a professional, approachable appearance
· Proficient in email and basic computer skills preferred
· Hosts are expected to stay for the duration of the season.
· Excellent communication skills and a strong, innovative mindset.
· Strong community relations
· The ability to react and adjust to changing business environments and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.
· Exemplary intuitive listening skills along with exceptional oral and written communication
· Demonstrated ability to efficiently multitask, handle a variety of activities in a fast-paced environment, and achieve incremental results in the short term.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, any day of the week, including being “on-call.”
· Ability to write and communicate professionally in English.

·Ability to demonstrate computer literacy using Microsoft Office software.
