A campground host is a seasonal volunteer who agrees to serve in a National Forest campground. Hosts are friendly, enjoy the outdoors and are eager to learn and share their knowledge.

The Great Divide Ranger District of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is looking for a motivated volunteer to serve as a campground host at Day Lake Campground. The campground is located in northwest Wisconsin, near the towns of Clam Lake and Hayward.

If you are interested in a quiet campground and great fishing, then Day Lake Campground is just the right place for you. Campsites are situated within a red pine and birch forest.

Day Lake Campground is located on Day Lake. There is good musky, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and panfish fishing. The campground is located near an elk release site. The Dead Horse Run ATV trail can be accessed directly from the campground.

There are 52 campsites available throughout six loops at Day Lake Campground. Sites can be used for tents and RV camping. Each site has a campfire ring and a picnic table. Vault toilets and drinking water is also available. The campground has trash collection and a recycling area.

Fuel, fishing supplies, firewood, ice, and restaurants are within 1 mile of this campground, in the small town of Clam Lake.
