JOB DESCRIPTION:
Bring your skills to South Florida and join our outstanding team of volunteers. This is a great opportunity for an individual or couple to work Will be responsible for operation of the Ortona S gatehouse along the scenic and peaceful Caloosahatchee River. Specific duties include proficient operation of the R1S computer program (training will be provided), making reservations for campers, selling various national park discount passes, accounting for credit card transactions, answering phone calls, recording campground logs and providing visitors with local area information. Volunteers may also be asked to perform light maintenance and assist with cleaning campground facilities when needed. Camp hosts typically work a four day on-four day off schedule. Must maintain professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to abide by the USACE Volunteer Agreement and submit a standard background check (required by all USACE volunteers). as campground hosts at the desirable Ortona S. Campground. A full hook up campsite is provided for a minimum of 24 hours/week of volunteer work.
