DESCRIPTION:
Opportunity for an individual or couple to work as campground hosts at the Ortona South Campground in Moore Haven, Florida.
Bring your skills to South Florida and join our outstanding team of volunteers. This is a great opportunity for an individual or couple to work as campground hosts at the desirable Ortona South Campground.
Will be responsible for operation of the campground’s gatehouse along the scenic and peaceful Caloosahatchee River. Must be willing to abide by the USACE Volunteer Agreement and submit a standard background check (required by all USACE volunteers). Abiding by the USACE Volunteer Agreement, includes being willing to adhere to current CDC Covid-19 protocols.
Additional Items to Consider
1.Camp hosts must provide their own camper
2.Camp hosts work a four-day shift, four days on duty followed by four days off duty
3.Must maintain a good working relationship with other camp hosts in the campground
4.Must enjoy working with the public and possess basic computer skills
5.Must reside in campground during your shift

Specific duties include, proficient operation of R1S computer program (training will be provided), collection and transmission of fees, receiving telephone calls, recording campground logs and providing visitors with local area information. Must maintain professional appearance and manner.
Proficient computer operation skills required in order to efficiently complete job duties; pleasant personality preferred.
