Job Status: Part-Time
Days Worked: Sun., Mon., Tue., Wed., Thu., Fri., Sat.
Details: 26-32 hours per week, estimated pay: $1,128.40-$1,388.80 per month. Additionally: campground site with full utilities (estimated benefit of $2,220)

Help maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant campground for the public to enjoy for the period of May 1 – September 30.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Every other weekend, holidays, and holiday weekends: assist Campground Manager with checking in guests, taking reservations, escorting guests to campsite, delivering firewood, performing campground patrol, and cleaning showers/bathrooms.

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays following weekends off: clean and restock shower rooms and rest rooms in the morning, and recheck in the afternoon, clean campsites and fire-pits.

Hours and duties can be adjusted to suit both the Campground Host and Managers schedules contingent upon Parks Manager approval.

During camping season, Koronis Park must have constant supervision. Campground Manager and Campground Hosts will share in this responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned by Parks Manager.

Ability to get along well with others and work with large groups of people.

Ability to organize work.

Basic computer skills.

Must have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent

2 to 3 years camping experience, or demonstrated capability to perform duties of the job.

Language Skills – Ability to communicate and deal effectively with a wide variety of people.
Basic computer skills – Possesses basic knowledge of computer operation.

The County agrees to pay the Camp Ground Host an estimated $1,128.40 – $1,388.80 per month.

Compensation for Campground Host includes a campground site with full utilities (estimated benefit of $2,220) and will be available to the Campground Host from May 1st, 2024 – September 30th, 2024 as long as the terms of the Agreement are met.

Hours of Work:

  • 26-32 hours of work per week.
  • It is necessary to be on site every other weekend, holidays, holiday weekends; and Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays following a weekend off.
  • Hours and duties can be adjusted to suit both the Campground Host and Managers schedules contingent upon Parks Manager approval.
