RiverWest Properties, a rapidly growing Columbus-based real estate investment and development firm, is seeking a General Manager for its camping resort in the Hocking Hills region, Pine Creek Cabins & Camping Resort (“Pine Creek”).

RiverWest was founded in 2017 and primarily owns and manages in four investment areas: (1) RV camping resorts, (2) multifamily apartment communities, (3) manufactured housing communities, and (4) commercial real estate development projects. This role would focus on managing one of our RV camping resorts.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to join our team and manage our newest resort, Pine Creek, nestled in the beautiful Hocking Hills region outside of Columbus, Ohio.

The General Manager will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of all resort departments. This is a supervisory role, and the ideal candidate must be someone with excellent communication skills, team leadership, and organization. This leadership role is responsible for resort bookings, store and other ancillary sales, guest activities, overseeing the upkeep of property grounds and facilities, and focusing on providing the best possible experience for all of our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations including sales, guest services, office, store, grounds, facilities, housekeeping, recreation, accounts receivable, and other campground duties
  • Oversee inventory and stocking of the campground store
  • Liaison and point person for marketing, office, grounds, housekeeping, and activities
  • Coordinate with necessary RiverWest team members to identify growth opportunities and implement marketing initiatives
  • Maintain the integrity of the resort grounds and operations by providing a clean, peaceful, and relaxing natural space for guests to enjoy
  • Maximize booked camper nights, registration revenue, store sales, and ancillary revenue while managing expenses, adhering to company-provided budget
  • Track, manage, and direct all repairs, maintenance, and updates required at the resort
  • Identify and quickly resolve facility and property issues
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and the community surrounding the resort
  • Other various duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • People-oriented and passionate about outdoor hospitality
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse population
  • Excel at project management and business operations
  • Have experience managing, developing, and motivating small to mid-sized teams
  • Strong team leadership and empowerment, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively, and resolve conflict
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in Email, Microsoft Office, campground software and intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to maintain a budget
  • Motivated, self-starter, goal oriented, and results driven
  • Trustworthy and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum one year experience in a supervisory or higher role in hospitality or related field
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally for business-related purposes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
