Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper to join our team at our Grand Island KOA in Nebraska.
The Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper will be responsible for performing various maintenance and lawncare tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This is a seasonal position with the possibility of turning into year round (if interested).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain park lawn, weed eating, picking up debris, leaf blowing
- Site clean up: cleaning out fire pits, garbage removal
- Deliver firewood, fill propane tanks
- Assist activities/recreation department when required for event set up and break down.
- Pressure washing buildings
- Basic electrical and plumbing skills
- Basic regular maintenance: painting, changing a faucet, etc.
- Should be able to lift 75 pounds
- Other duties as needed
Will need to become very familiar with campground layout, sites, lodging units as well as the rules and regulations at the campground
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
– Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
– Lawncare and landscaping knowledge
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
– Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $16 – $18 per hour
PLUS Free site rent, electric, water, sewer, garbage removal, internet, etc.
Expected hours: 40 hours per week
