Job Description
Volunteer Summer Host/Caretaker position at Salmon Lake State Park (https://fwp.mt.gov/stateparks/salmon-lake) with a monthly stipend of $100 and a free RV site for the 2025 season. Inquire at Stateparkvolunteers@mt.gov , or contact the park manager directly for details including the application process.
Duties:
Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:
· Daily interactions with visitors to the state park,
· Opening and closing the entrance gate on a daily basis
· Caretaking duties,
· Report any incidents or hazards to the direct supervisor,
Location:
Salmon Lake State Park is nestled along the Clearwater River between the majestic Mission and Swan Mountain Ranges and provides a beautiful and tranquil setting to enjoy many types of water recreation activities. The campground is in a woodland setting of western larch, ponderosa pine, and Douglas-fir. There are 24 campsites, including a hike-bike campsite. Volunteers will be provided a place to park their own RV with water, sewer, and electricity hookups available.

The schedule is determined by the park manager.
