Camp Host couple

Mountaineer Campground Townsend TN, the peaceful side of the Smokies, is looking for a Camp Host couple for Office and Maintenance/housekeeper for our Fall/Winter 2024 Season (Nov.-April/May) and our Spring/Summer 2025 Season (April/May-Nov.).

We are looking to add to our team members who are hardworking, friendly and motivated. We will be clear in our expectations for requested work and anticipate the same from you. There will be approximately 20-24 hours per week with a clear schedule of duties.

No experience is necessary – first time work campers are welcome. We are pet friendly and close to many area adventures and attractions.

Compensation –

•              Full Hook Up to include – water/sewer/electric/cable/WiFi

•              Laundry allowance, free firewood and ice

•              $75 per diem when overnight coverage is required – to be agreed upon by both parties

Camp Workers Responsibilities

Office Coverage –

•              Welcoming and providing guests with information, such as pricing tiers, camp hours, special events and local happenings

•              Scheduling and managing campground reservations using Campspot Software

•              Checking campers in and out of their campsites

•              Assisting if issues arise during a camper’s stay

•              Selling items from the camp store – handling cash and making change

•              Answering phone

•              Initial point of contact for campers when campground managers are away

•              Other similar tasks

Schedule

•              Full day office coverage on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am – 6pm with a one hour lunch

•              Lunch coverage on Friday – Sunday

•              Days off are Wednesday and Thursday

Maintenance –

•              Cleaning of shower house and family restroom once in the morning with a spot check/cleaning in the afternoon and evening

•              Cleaning of laundry every morning

•              Cleaning of cabins after guest stay

•              Assist with pool maintenance

•              Site Cleaning – fire rings/BBQ grills/blowing leaves/wiping picnic tables/etc.

•              Trash Pick Up

•              Light Landscaping

•              Assisting campground manager with maintaining campground cleanliness and monitoring campground safety

•              Maintenance of Pet Waste Stations

•              Assisting if issues arise during a camper’s stay

•              Initial point of contact for campers when campground managers are away

•              Other similar tasks

Schedule

•              Monday & Tuesday – 9am till done cleaning bathrooms, cabins, laundry and sites as well as pool.  Be available throughout the day if any issues arise on campground.

•              Friday-Sunday – Morning cleaning 10am till done with split shift with 1 hour evening bathroom check

•              Days off are Wednesday and Thursday
