JOB DESCRIPTION:
Do you love nature and want to make a positive impact in your community? The Santa Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest is seeking Volunteer Recreation Technicians to help maintain and enhance recreational opportunities for visitors.
As a Volunteer Recreation Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our forests clean, safe, and enjoyable for all. You’ll be involved in tasks such as:
- Maintaining trailheads, campgrounds, and public use areas.
- Conducting safety checks and ensuring that our recreation sites meet the necessary standards.
- Engaging with visitors to provide information on recreation and conservation.
We are asking for an 8 hour a week commitment for the first three months. Trailer pads are available with a commitment of 24 hours a week. Our Sabino Canyon trailer spots can accommodate a 31ft trailer but no pets are allowed. Our Palisades trailer spots accommodate a 22ft trailer and pets are allowed.
