Job Description
As a campground host, at Missouri Headwaters State Park your job duties will be vital in ensuring a pleasant experience for visitors at our beautiful park. Your primary responsibilities will include recording license plate number for campers who didn’t pay fee, filling out reservation cards, and distributing them daily throughout the campground. Additionally, you will be tasked with cleaning campsites, which involves picking up trash, cleaning out fire pits, and maintaining general cleanliness to create a welcoming environment for campers. You’ll also play a role in the campground’s retail operations by selling firewood and ice, while actively promoting our interpretive programs to enhance visitors’ understanding and enjoyment of the historic and natural surroundings. A critical aspect of your position will be informing visitors about park rules, including leash requirements for dogs, appropriate parking areas, and quiet hours, to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay.

The benefits of serving as a campground host are significant, including access to full hookups for water, electric, and sewer, which makes your stay comfortable. The typical work schedule is designed to be manageable and flexible, consisting of four days on and three days off, with shifts running Friday through Monday and time off from Tuesday through Thursday. We do need at least a month commitment, but we would love if you can stay all summer, end of April through the end of September.
Our campground is nestled in a quite location, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However, please note that internet service is not available at the host site; most cell phone providers do offer coverage within the campground. For your convenience, the charming town of Three Forks lies just five minutes to the west, offering a grocery store, gas station, and some shopping options. For a wider range of shopping and cultural experiences, the vibrant town of Bozeman is only 30 minutes away, featuring various shopping opportunities and museums to explore during your days off. Join us in this fulfilling role and help us create lasting memories for visitors in our stunning natural setting!
