JOB DESCRIPTION:

Exciting Volunteer Opportunity: Bilingual Spanish English Day Use Gate Attendant Needed at Hartwell Lake!

 

Spend the summer on beautiful Hartwell Lake situated on the border between northeast Georgia and upstate South Carolina. The US Army Corps of Engineers at Hartwell Lake is seeking a bilingual volunteer (individual or couple), who speaks Spanish and English to serve as the day-use gatehouse attendant at Singing Pines Recreation Area in Anderson, South Carolina. Position available May 1, 2025, and runs through September 3, 2025. Hours are 10-5 Saturday-Sunday and major holidays (May 27, July 4, Sept 2). Duties include staffing a gatehouse, greeting visitors, ensuring payment of entrance fee at fee machine, answer questions concerning park rules/regulations and general lake information, and share message of water safety. Volunteers are given a full hookup campsite in Springfield Campground, Anderson, South Carolina.
