JOB DESCRIPTION:

Opportunity location: WP FRANKLIN NORTH, 17850 N Franklin Lock RD. Alva, FL 33920

Bring your skills to South Florida and join our outstanding team of volunteers. This is a great opportunity for an individual or couple to work as campground hosts at the desirable WP Franklin North Campground located along the scenic and peaceful Caloosahatchee River.

Campground hosts must be of a friendly demeanor and will be responsible for operation of the WP Franklin North Campground gatehouse. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

—Utilizing the R1S computer program to make reservations for campers (training will be provided)

—Selling America the Beautiful discount passes

—Accounting for credit card transactions

—Recording campground logs and reporting issues to Park Rangers

—Providing visitors and campers with local area information in-person and by phone

—Informing campers and the public about WP Franklin North Campground rules

—Cleaning up campsites, light maintenance, weeding, and light restroom-cleaning when needed

Campground hosts typically work a four day on-four day off schedule. Must maintain professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to abide by the USACE Volunteer Agreement and submit a standard background check (required by USACE volunteers).

—Proficient computer operation skills required to efficiently complete job duties

—Ability to be a team-player and flexibility in your job duties 

HOUSING & AMENITIES

Type: Trailer/RV Pads

Description: A full hook up campsite is provided for a minimum of 24 hours/week of volunteer work.
