Volunteer Camp Host

Volunteer Camp Host position at Medicine Rocks State Park with a monthly stipend of $100 and a free RV site for the 2025 season. Inquire at Stateparkvolunteers@mt.gov, or contact the park manager directly, for details including the application process.

Duties:

Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:

·         Daily interactions with campers and visitors to the campground that include regional recreational opportunities and campground regulations

·         Daily campground fee compliance

·         Daily campsite maintenance duties

·         Monitoring facilities and campground to ensure visitor safety

·         Report any incidents or hazards to the direct supervisor,

Location:

Medicine Rock State Park is in a relatively remote location in Eastern Montana near the town of Ekalaka. The closest larger town with multiple amenities is Miles City, which is about a 90 minute drive.

Schedule:

The schedule is flexible and is determined by the park manager.
